This was the first book I ever listened to on cd and I loved it!! When Jack finds a key in the corridor behind the Thorne Rooms at a Chicago museum he has no idea of the adventures that are in store. Ruthie, his best friend, is entranced by the rooms and while holding the key, wishes she could enter into the rooms. Magically, she shrinks to just the right size. The kids are able to figure out a way for Jack to shrink as well and embark on a journey to Paris right before the Revolution and Massachusetts around the time of the Salem Witch Trials. Along the way they learn more about how the magic works and learn about others who have experienced it. They also help find some long lost photographs. There will be a sequel released in January and I can't wait. I already have it on order. Check it out!!!
