FRANKENSTEIN MAKES A SANDWICH by Adam Rex

REVIEW: This collection contains about twenty poems relating to literary monsters and their problems.  From "Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich" to "The Invisible Man Gets a Haircut" and the poor Phantom of the Opera who is having a hard time coming up with a new song, Adam Rex creates some humorous poems.  His illustrations add to the hilarity with some details that a casual reader might overlook.  There is a lot of variety in this book from some traditional rhymes to cartoons to spoofs.
OPINION: I really enjoyed this book.  Adam Rex's poems and illustrations had sharing lines and me chuckling with my husband and daughter.  My personal favorites were "The Phantom of the Opera Can't Get 'It's a Small World' Out of His Head" and "Count Dracula Doesn't Know He's Been Walking Around All Night With Spinach in His Teeth".
