Wow...the Caldecott winner from 1956. Another book from my shelf challenge. This was a very simple book with fairly simple illustrations. It would be interesting to compare it with other illustrated books from 1956. Why did it win the Caldecott? It could also be a good template for simple poems...A house is nice, a bed is nice, etc.
