Another book from the Shelf Reading challenge. In this book it is Suki's first day of school and even though her older sisters are embarrassed she decides to wear her kimono. At first her new classmates laugh at her and don't understand why she is wearing it. But, when Suki gets a chance to explain and shows her classmates a traditional dance they applaud her. A great book about being yourself and being proud of your heritage.
