This is a nominee for the Maine Student Book Award and one that I have wanted to read for awhile. I was not disappointed. Fever lives in London in the future. She has been raised by a group of engineers but when she turns 14 is requested as an apprentice. Once she ventures out and people see her she finds out how different she is. Will she be able to unlock the door to a hidden vault and how could she possibly know the code? How did she get the mysterious scar on her neck and who were her parents? This book has it all - adventure, excitement, drama, sadness, and suspense. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more in the series.
